Laudry Line

after you wring me out
hang me on your laundry line
let me flow in the breeze
sway into your field of vision
wooden pins in my shoulders
the sun bleaching me dry

take me down gently
fold me as if i were a fitted sheet
a little more attention is needed
i'll wrap around your mattress
fresh as a daisy
corners tucked in
linen after summer rain
