Vivisection

I wish I could excise it
Amputate the emptiness

Remove the unremovable
From my cavernous heart

Push a wire snake through my ventricles
Pull out oblivion from my capilaries

Place leeches on my skin
Maybe they can gnaw out the poison

The nothing
The vastness

The space that someone would fill
The pain that comes along with the space

Between

My flesh

And bones

The crook of my neck
Hasn’t felt softness
In so very long

All encompassing isolation
Filled to the brim with vacancies

I can feel every gap

My eyelashes are wishless

My chest is hollowed out

Make it stop

Please

Make it stop

There is too much space

How do I cut it out?
Tell me how

There is no anesthesia needed
I’ll do it myself
